Activity

Working either as a class or in groups discuss the positive and negative effects of social change on people. Discuss this in relation to our fisheries resources and consider the following issues:
The Treaty of Waitangi.
Technology and the environment.
Recreational fishing.
Commercial fishing.
The competing interests of different user groups.

After the discussion write 30-40 lines on the topic:
"Fish can look after themselves - it's the people who need managing!"

In this essay consider the best way of conserving our fisheries resources for present and future generations.
