1 Fish as food
  a We eat fish for health, variety, cultural reasons, because we like the taste, reasons of economy (catching our own), etc.
b We eat some fish and not others because of the abundance of some species and also because of prejudice. For example, squid fisheries were slow to develop in New Zealand because people weren't used to eating squid.
